Who we are

Ibesikpo/Asutan Organization California, Inc. a charitable, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Jose, California. Our organization was formed in 2012 with the objective to advance the welfare of the people of Ibesikpo-Asutan in Nigeria, West Africa and in the United States.

Ibesikpo/Asutan Organization California, Inc. exists to be our brother’s keeper by providing health care, financial assistance, and educational services. Our support contributes to an improved quality of life of children and families. The organization’s projects are implemented by an experienced staff and emphasize community development and changes lives from the inside out. We demonstrate a passionate commitment to excellence. We believe in the transformative power of radical philanthropy.

Our Mission

The mission of Ibesikpo/Asutan Organization California, Inc. is to support people in their time of need, to foster unity among the members of our community, and to promote the educational pursuits of our young people.

We intend to accomplish our mission by doing the following:

In Ibesikpo Asutan, Nigeria

  • To provide the necessary medications and health education for the treatment and prevention of diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS by working with local community groups in rural villages.
  • To assist in malaria prevention providing resources including medications and mosquito nets.
  • To improve the public health in rural communities by reducing the incidents of typhoid fever through the provision of clean water by drilling of boreholes.
  • To improve access to primary school education by improving school buildings and subsiding school fees for local children.

In the United States

  • To collaborate with other non-profit organizations to provide assistance during natural disasters to affected individuals and families.
  • To collaborate and align with non-profit medical group in the US to send medical supplies and fund annual medical missions to provide basic medical care including vision screening and cataract eye surgery to Akwa Ibom, Nigeria.
  • To assist Nigerian immigrant families within our community with the stresses of acculturation.
