Ibesikpo Asutan organization California, Inc is a tax exempt 501 ( c)(3) non-profit organization headquarter in San Jose, California. Ibesikpo Asutan focuses on providing health care, education, emergency support and job training for families in crisis. Our ultimate goal is to restore basic healthcare services and provide skill development to communities in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria where there is little to no access. This is done by organizing medical mission to eliminate preventable blindness – free cataract surgeries, free eye drops, screening for early intervention; general surgeries include but not limited to the following: free hernia, fibroids and goiter surgeries; as well as free dental services. We also screen people for hypertension, diabetes, malaria, mal-nutrition etc; and provides them with medications. We also provided care locally by feeding the homeless communities and respond to emergency disasters through Red Cross.

Our project this year is to create new opportunities that generate income for underserved communities within Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Such opportunities will provide participants with the necessary skill development, resources, training, and education needed to obtain a career. Career opportunities provided by this program include areas in agriculture, cosmetology, hospitality management, film production, carpentry and automobile mechanics.

After successful completion of this program, participants will be able to establish and maintain financial security by starting their own business, within their selected field of study.
The revenue afforded to participants allows them to provide for their families and contribute to a vital part of their local economy. With new knowledge and resources, those trained by Ibesikpo Asutan are poised to enrich, sustain and shape their families and communities for the better.
